This is my addition to a "fan art" contest currently running on the Narnia site. I had to follow strict rules and make sure not to put any slogans, humans, or existing artwork from any other source Narnia related.

Otherwise the caption I would have used was "Reclaim the Kingdom." and put a date. We are allowed to use the Narnia logo though as provided by the Walt Disney Co.

I also had a very tight deadline to deal with, but I didn't want to just turn in a rush job either. I wanted this poster to feel like it belongs with my other work, even though it's not a genre I'm used to working in.

The story itself in a nutshell is the sequel to The Lion, The Witch, and The Wardrobe in which after 1000 years of absence, The four Pevensie children (Peter, Susan, Edmund and Lucy) return to Narnia to find it in runs under the ravages of war once again but this time not from the White Queen, but from a race of men from Telmar.

Prince Caspian is given the task of restoring Narnia along with the four children by vanquishing the darkness his uncle, King Miraz.

This posed a very difficult challenge because everything I made had to be done from scratch, right down to the digital painting of a lion for Aslan. (yes filters help)

This is my fan poster for "Prince Caspian". Drawing elements from the story, Aslan is shown watching and waiting for someone to restore peace the kingdom since The four Pevensie children's disappearance.

The ruins of Cair Paravel elude to the darkness that has driven the mythical creatures of the land into the hiding depicted in the abstract forest behind. This all leads the viewer to the lone vessel sailing amidst the sun drenched oceans that will come and restore peace and order to the fabled land of Narnia once more.

The ship is also purposely made to resemble the Dawn Treader which is the third installment of the Chronicles of Narnia series.

This really isn't a story I'm that familiar with but wikipedia helps!

Enjoy!
